The Method

We use the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method which was developed by an award-winning nutrition company and Dr. Tran Tien Chanh, MD PhD, a European doctor who focused his career and research on nutrition with a particular emphasis on the treatment of obesity and obesity-related issues.

This weight loss method is a 4-phase protocol, which helps to stabilize the pancreas and blood sugar levels while burning fat and maintaining muscle and other lean tissue (organs). How The Pancreas Works

The typical American diet - which consists of an over-abundance of processed foods such as refined sugars and starches like white bread, white pasta, potatoes, snacks and sweets, etc. - overworks the pancreas. The pancreas must constantly pump out insulin to take care of all the sugar that these foods contain. Refined carbohydrates and most starchy foods are broken down into glucose quickly and enter the bloodstream. Whatever is not needed immediately for energy is swooped up by insulin, converted into fat and stored. Since it is the job of the pancreas to produce the insulin necessary to remove glucose from the bloodstream (and store it as fat), eating a high-carbohydrate diet causes the pancreas to work overtime and it can eventually become dysfunctional.

An overworked pancreas produces excess insulin, resulting in a drastic drop in the blood sugar level (hypoglycemia), thereby leading to cravings for sugar. When more sugar is consumed, the cycle starts over. Remember, insulin is also the fat storage hormone - the hormone that converts the carbohydrates you've consumed into stored fat. Consequently, keeping insulin levels down is an important key to healthy weight loss.

how the ideal protein weight loss method works

The body gets its fuel (or energy) from three macronutrient sources: Carbohydrates, protein and fat. The carbohydrate reserves (also called Glycogen reserves, stored in the muscles and liver for quick energy) are used up first, followed by our protein and fat reserves.

After approximately 3 days on the Ideal Protein Diet (or Treatment, as we like to call it), your glycogen reserves are depleted and your body begins to burn your stored fat for energy. This results in your body producing ketonic bodies (ketones) that are a natural appetite suppressant, thus preventing cravings after the first few days and providing you with natural energy. Your body has turned to its fat reserves as its first source of energy, and you will then burn fat while nourishing muscle with the high-quality, highly-absorbable Ideal Protein foods that you consume throughout the day.

the treatment plan

While most diets require you to weigh and measure food, track points, or follow complicated recipes, the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method allows you to lose weight with minimal effort. It is also nothing like the diets that offer packaged foods that are low-calorie versions of the same exact foods that caused you to gain weight in the first place. With the Ideal Protein instant packets, you have the option of keeping it very simple, or you may get creative if you like.

  • Stage 1: You start out using a packet of Ideal Protein food as the basis of 3 of your 4 meals each day and you eat a low-carb-low-fat "regular" dinner. Follow this regimen until you have reach 80-90% of your weight loss goal.
  • Stage 2: Reduce the Ideal Protein foods to 2 per day, eating 2 low-carb, low-fat "regular" meals and continue this plan until you've reach 100% of your goal.
